2021 COVID-19 Preparations

8/9/2021

Working to make our event safe.

As we look forward to our 2021 event, we are making several changes to try to make our event as safe as possible for all of our attendees, volunteers, performers, vendors, exhibitors, sponsors and our community.  We will continue to monitor requirements and recommendations from government officials and healthcare experts as our event draws nearer.

We encourage you to protect yourself and others by:
  • Staying home if you experience any COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Wearing a mask for anyone who wishes to wear one. Masks are strongly encouraged for all unvaccinated and immunocompromised individuals.
  • Wearing a mask with two or more layers to stop the spread of COVID-19 to protect yourself and others.
  • Wearing your mask over your nose and mouth, secure it under your chin, and make sure it fits snugly against the sides of your face.
  • Social distancing up to 6' apart, where possible.
  • Washing your hands often.
  • Getting vaccinated prior to the event. Find a free vaccination site.

Here are a few things we're working on to make Cedar Valley Pridefest 2021 as safe as possible:
  • Additional space has been placed between exhibitor booths to provide more social distance.
  • Additional hand-washing stations and hand-sanitizer will be onsite.
  • Large group seating, such as bleachers, have been removed to encourage more social distance.
  • The Kids Zone will have more space between activities and we've removed the kids stage to reduce unvaccinated children grouped together.
  • There will not be a 4th Street Drag Race where attendees share clothing and race in tight packs.

We encourage all attendees to review CDC's guidelines for public events and take precautions that they feel most comfortable with.

If you have specific questions, please email us.
