Event Questions.
Can I buy a ticket in advance?
Yes, tickets can be purchased from this website under Tickets, from two months prior to the event and up to the week prior to the event.
When will gates open?
Gates will open on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and at Noon on Saturday.
Will the event be cancelled, post-poned or moved due to weather?
No! Cedar Valley Pridefest is a rain or shine event. We have a covered stage for performers so they can continue and be safe. We're hopeful that the forecast will be in our favor. Can you do an anti-rain dance for us? Hopefully, if it isn't in our favor, it will be a few sprinkles that won't interrupt the performance of any of our entertainment or fun in general. We look forward to seeing you on Friday & Saturday!
If the weather is too bad, the concert may be delayed slightly, but it will go on — on the street. There is not really a way to setup an alternate venue with all the sound and stage equipment requirements. There is not a covered area for the audience unfortunately since this is a street festival. There are some overhangs on the Convention Center that might be good cover. An umbrella or rain coat might not be a bad idea if the forecast calls for rain.
Why is the event not free?
While we would love to have a free event, we do not currently have enough funds from sponsors or donors to not charge a gate admission without sacrificing the quality of the event. If you would like to donate or know someone who would be a sponsor, please suggest that to them. If enough support is generated, we would be able to reduce gate costs or even potentially move to a free event format, but we cannot do it alone, we need your help!
Do children get in free?
Children 12 and under do not need a ticket, but must be accompanied by a paying adult. (You will be responsible for your child the entire time they are at the event and determine what entertainment and activities are suitable to them.)
Will there be seating?
Limited seating throughout the grounds will be available in the form of more than a dozen picnic tables will be set up throughout the grounds. Attendees may bring folding camping chairs however designated chair areas are limited and are first-come, first-serve. Once the designated area is filled, no additional chairs will be allowed. Chairs will NOT be allowed directly in front of the stage. You are encouraged to arrive early to claim your space in the designated areas. Do not leave your personal items unattended. Cedar Valley Pride will not be liable for missing or stolen items or chairs.
