Friends of Cedar Valley Pride members are people who have given to support Cedar Valley Pridefest for the current year. There are many levels of sponsorship, and there is no limit on the amount that can be given, but here are four common levels.

How to Join Friends.

IN MEMORY OF STEVEN SIEGEL-SLYKHUIS More than 100 friends and family members provided memorial gifts in remembrance of Steve in 2018 after his passing Dec. 19, 2017. These funds continue to honor Steve and fund permanent additions to Pridefest including LGBTQ History Panels and our popular Education & Arts Series. |

How gifts are used.
Your most generous gift helps CVP give a voice to the diverse community that exists not only in the Cedar Valley but in all communities. We use funds from donations, sponsorships and gate admission to cover all areas of expenses for the event, except staff and management — all leadership positions and event personnel are volunteers!

Educate the community on LGBT issues that are relevant to all.
We’re planning educational programs and an art show that will expand CVP and offer a wide variety of perspectives to our attendees. |
Raise awareness of community groups that deal with LGBT issues.
Support groups, religious groups, health organizations and more are highlighted every year in our day-long event and we provide exposure to the LGBT and greater community who may not otherwise seek out help. |
Provide quality entertainment and exposure to LGBT performers and artists.
Entertainment is the number one expense for an event like ours. Each year costs continue to rise and as our numbers increase the demand for higher quality entertainment goes up. |
